MEET KATIE
A NEW GENERATION LEADER
DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Katie Bayliss is running for Orange County Board of Supervisors District 3 in a county she is deeply-rooted in.
​
Education:
Katie was born and raised as well as attended and graduated public schools in Orange County. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of California, Irvine and a Jurist Doctor at Western State University College of Law.
​
Immigrant Family History:
Katie is Asian American. She is the daughter of an immigrant, veteran, and businessman in Orange County; and the daughter to trilingual including Spanish speaking restaurateur woman whose restaurant is also in Orange County. Her parents met as they immigrated to the United States and first settled in Tustin when they arrived in California.

Congress, Attorney, & Finance Experience:
Prior to becoming an attorney, Katie obtained experience on Capitol Hill as a Congressional Intern and worked for an investment management company. For almost a decade, Katie has been practicing law with a focus on helping small business owners and families with young children. Katie also is licensed as a real estate broker. She currently owns and operates a law firm and a real estate brokerage in Irvine, and has an ownership interest in an online retailer.

Gives Time to Volunteer:
Katie has always been actively involved in philanthropic work and non-profit organizations such as the Asian Real Estate
Association of America, Orange County Chapter. She
currently serves as the Secretary on the Executive Board of Directors. She also engages in mentoring young professionals and dedicates time with her husband, Shaun, teaching confidence and faith to young children every week.

Over the years, Katie has been recognized in the Orange County Business Journal for her Excellence in Entrepreneurship and for being an outstanding and influential professional Woman in Business.

As the owner of multiple businesses, Katie has successfully met the demands and challenges of managing complex, overlapping issues and competing priorities – all while being fair, legally compliant and fiscally responsible.

She is a compassionate leader who listens. She is creative and cost-effective in her resolutions, and believes in transparency and accountability.

Wife & Mother:
Katie and Shaun have been together for 15 years with 8 of them being married. They have two young children, Shane and Kara. In her spare time, Katie loves to beautify everything and everyone around her. She enjoys cooking and entertaining friends. As a family, they love to hike and play at the local parks.
