It’s likely we’ve crossed paths before. Perhaps sharing a line at the grocery store or at the local gas station, at a trip to one of the outdoor malls or even a local coffee shop in Orange County. As a local business owner, I have always believed in supporting local businesses.

My name is Kim-Thy Bayliss but you can call me "Katie." I am running for Orange County Board of Supervisor District 3 which was held by now Orange County District Attorney, Todd Spitzer.

 

I was born, raised and I continue to reside with my family in Orange County. I have spent my entire life from attending public school, undergraduate school, and law school to running my businesses and employing those who live in Orange County to raising my family here. My love for Orange County runs deep.

I am not one to shy away from hard problems. I am a problem solver and ready to attack every issue with intelligence, integrity, and applying a common-sense public policy approach. I am confident my background and experience in the legal, financial, real estate and entrepreneurial business worlds gives me uniquely broad insights on how to resolve issues innovatively, cost-efficiently and in service to the residents of Orange County and the constituents of the District. Doing what is right and for the best of the people I serve is always my goal. I know significant results are possible when everyone works together in collaboration with others. I am open to discovering different options to solve issues our County is facing.
 

My goals as Supervisor are to:

• Improve your quality of life, preserve our natural treasures in open space and parks, and keep the people of our county safe 

• Fiscal Responsibility: Protect and utilize your tax-dollars wisely, with transparency and accountability. 

• Homelessness: Address the issue of homelessness with clear end goal in sight

• Accessibility: Listen and be reachable by constituents

As part of a new generation of leaders, you can count on me to work diligently and to advocate for you on County issues. I will strive to end political paralysis. I will take issues head on even if it means facing adversity. I have always enjoyed public service as I have a servant heart and I hope with your help I can continue to serve our communities.
